Milit-Reg5 Jun 1917 On 5 Jun 1917 Elbert registered for the World War I draft at the Haytor Mill precinct in Washington County. He was single and employed as a traveling salesman for the Farcette-Beaver Shoe Company of Bristol, Tennessee. The registrar described Elbert as of medium height with light blue eyes.1 
Military  Elbert later served in World War I.6 
Cens-19201920  The 1920 census found him still at home and single at age 32.7

Occupation Elbert developed several businesses in the Bristol, Tennessee area.6
