Cens-18501850 In 1850, on the first federal census enumeration to record the name of everyone in the household, Sarah and Jacob were listed in Washington County, Virginia, where they were farming land valued at $5,000. They were living near Sarah's niece, Martha (Buchanan) Zimmerman.4 
Cens-188012 Jun 1880  In 1880, Sarah, by then a widow made her home with her brother Mahlon in Goodson, Washington County, Virginia. Another brother, Jacob, was also in the home, as were Maholn's wife and several children.2 
Death1891 Sarah died in 1891.3 
Burial She was buried at Susong Cemetery in Bristol, Virginia.
