BirthCircacirca 1877 Minnie S. Buchanan was born in Virginia circa 1877 based on her age on the 1880 census.1,2 
Cens-18801880 In 1880 she was recorded living in the St. Clair District of Smyth County, Virginia, with her parents and several siblings, including a twin brother, William.1 
Migration1885 In 1885 William and America moved the family to Atchison County, Missouri, where William is reported to have died in 1888. A few years later (1891) America moved her children to Nemaha County, Nebraska.3 
Residence  There Minnie and William were listed as students from 1892 to 1898.4 
Cens-19101910 Later Minnie settled in Salida, Chaffee County, Colorado, where she boarded in the home of John and Belle Runyon. 
Residence1911  A directory for Salida for 1911-1912 lists Minnie boarding at 1004 F and working as a teacher at the H. Street School.5 
Death1928 Minnie died in 1928.2 
Burial She was buried at Sheridan Cemetery in Auburn, Nemaha County, Nebraska.2
