Birth13 Feb 1832 William Breckenridge Clark was born on 13 Feb 1832 in Howell, Lincoln County, Tennessee.4,1,5 
Military William fought in the Civil War, serving for 18 months in Company G, First Regiment Tennessee Infantry. After participating in several skirrmishes he was discharged because of ill health.6 
Marriage22 Feb 1872 He married Laura Josephine Mountcastle, daughter of William Eggleston Mountcastle and Elizabeth Mary Kennis, on 22 Feb 1872.6,7 
Migration1874 William and Laura migrated to Colorado in 1874.6 
Migration1880  But after about five years they sold their land there and returned to Lincoln County where they purchased 162 acres in the twelth district.6 
Cens-18801880  There they were recorded farming at the time of the 1880 census enumeration. Their two children, 7 year old William and 4 year old Harriett were also recorded as was 14 year old W.E. Mountcastle.8 
Cens-19001900  However, after some years they again left Tennessee, this time settling in Parker County, Texas, where they were enumerated at the turn of the century. William's occupation was listed as "landlord."9 
  Daughter Harriet (enumerated as Bessie) lived with them in 1900 and worked as a saleslady at a cooperative company. Son William also made the move to Texas. In 1900 he worked as a grocery salesman in El Paso. They all moved to Arizona prior to William Sr.'s death in 1909. 
Death13 Sep 1909 William died on 13 Sep 1909 in Duncan, Greenlee County, Arizona, at age 77.4,3 
Burial He was buried at Duncan Valley Cemetery in Duncan, Arizona.4
