Death20 Aug 1901 Mary died on 20 Aug 1901 at age 55 at the home of her daughter Edith in Denver. She had been ill for two years and had gone to the city to seek treatment.4 
Burial21 Aug 1901 Mary was buried at Evergreen Cemetery in El Paso County, Colorado on 21 Aug 1901 after her body was brought back to Colorado Springs on the Sante Fe train.5,6
