Birth7 Nov 1933 Hildred Nadine Arnold was born on 7 Nov 1933.2
Hildred worked as a critical care nurse for the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Johnson City, Tennessee. She did not marry. Her nephew, Edward Fox, remembers her as both an inspirational and fascinating individual. She never learned to drive yet she traveled the world. Edward described her home as being like a museum, full of keepsakes from Africa, Europe and China. She was also an avid reader whose interests ranged from the serious to the light-hearted. The younger members of the family found in her a mentor who opened their eyes to the world outside of East Tennessee, but who could also converse in detail about the exploits of Superman. Clearly she was special.1
