Caleb Logan of Washington Co., Virginia

1. all just debts and funeral expenses to be paid

2. executor to sell personal property except negroes; also sell abt 40 acres of land lying separate from my other land and adjoining John Miller, Jacob Morell, Robert Clark’s estate and others.

3. daughter Mary C. Logan $100 in consideration of extra services rendered by her.

4. son Lycineus T. Logan my wagon and harness, plows & blacksmith and carpenter’s tools.

5. remainder of proceeds of my personal property and land directed to be sold are to be divided equally between my children now living and the children of my deceased daughter Eliza T. Smith (1/7th part to each of my living children and 1/7th part to children of Eliza)

6. to each of my children now living 1/7th part of my negroes - also 1/7th part of value to be equally divided among children of Eliza T. Smith, deceased.

7. two sons Lycineus T. Logan and James W. Logan remainder of my land = 3 contiguous tracts (describes how the land is to be divided in detail).

8. son James W. Logan to receive land on east side of division line.

9. son Lycineus T. Logan all land on the west side which is the largest and most valuable and includes the buildings. He is to provide his mother a home and support during her life and also his two unmarried sisters.

10. the grain and hogs on the farm this year not to be sold but put to use of family
