William Hayter of Washington County, Virginia

beloved wife Margaret the plantation while my widow in order to maintain and school children; if marries then to have land until youngest child is 21 years of age then land to be sold and divided

stock, horses, cattle, sheep to be valued and wife to have sixth part and she may keep the hole of them at the valuation of the executors as every child comes to 18 yrs of age to have their equal part

my wife is to have all the household furniture, hogs and her saddle loom and farming tools except 1 striped ticker feather bed with a good double coverlet 2 good blankets a sheet, bolsters and pillows, this bed I give to my daughter Elizabeth when she comes to 16 yrs of age.

I likewise leave money to purchase a young Negro woman for my wife during her life time and at her death the said Negro and her increase to be equally divided among my children

My wife is to pay all my just debts out of her estates if any money left my wife is to have the 6th part the remainder put to interest and my children to get an equal part when they turn 18.

Son Abraham to have my rifle gun and saddle and one half of my clothes

My son William to have the other part of my clothes and my Smith tools

appt John Jamison and my wife to be my executor and executrix
