John Porterfield of Washington County, Virginia

1. I will to son James Porterfield and his heirs my lands and farming utensils; James or his heirs to be bound for my comfortable support out of the land during my natural life.

2. I have on hand a stock of horses, cattle, sheep and hogs to be sold shortly by way of public sale and what remains of the proceeds or money from the sale after my decease I will and bequeath to my other three children to wit, Francis Porterfield and his heirs one third part to Sarah Hutton and her heirs one third part and to Eleanor Clark and her heirs the remaining third part.

And lastly I hereby appoint my son James Porterfield executor to this my last will and testament.
