- to nephews James C. Hope, Peter G. Hope, and Thomas Hope, sons of James W. Hope, the interest which I now possess in the home place upon which I now reside. Also the bees.

- the interest I now possess in the slaves which belonged jointly to my deceased brother William G. Clark and myself to the children of James W. Hope, Robert Clark deceased and James Glenn deceased, except Benjamin Glenn, James Alpheus Clark, William T. Clark, Nelson Fudge (son in law of Robert Clark deceased) and James Alex Clark (also son-in-law of Robert Clark deceased) and their wives formerly Mary and Susan Clark, daughters of Robert Clark deceased who are to have nothing of my estate, except that I will and bequeath to Mary Clark, wife of James Alex Clark and Susan Fudge, wife of Nelson Fudge, $200 each if that amt is left after paying debts and other bequests.

- to sister Ann Glenn 1 bed and bed clothing, 1 bureau, 1 cherry table, 1 cupboard, and half the cupboard ware, including cups, saucers, dishes, plates, etc.; half of all the kitchen furniture, half dozen Windsor chairs, 1 horse, the white sow and pigs; and to her 3 daughters: Mary Jane, Nancy and Sarah Glenn

- to the servant women the chairs not otherwise disposed of which are to be equally divided amongst them

- to nephew Robert F. Clark 1 horse and 2 young heifers. I also relieve him from paying any amount which may be due me upon rent for one half the Sutton farm

- all grain on hand and the crops to be sold and the proceeds equally divided between Mrs. Mary Richards, James C. Hope, Peter G. Hope and Robert F. Clark

- all farming utensils to nephews James C. Hope, Peter G. Hope, and Thomas Hope

- all the hogs not otherwise disposed of to James C. Hope, Peter G. hope and Robert F. Clark, Mrs. Mary Richards and Mrs. Mary Bransom

- to Mrs. Mary Branson $200 if left after paying debts. If there should be money left after paying debts and distributing as provided in this will I wish it to be equally divided between the children of James W. Hope, James Glenn deceased (except Benjamin Glenn) Robert F. Clark and Sarah Clark children of Robert Clark deceased, Mrs. Mary Branson and the children of Mrs. Mary Richards.

It is my wish that nothing in this will conflict with that of my deceased brother William G. Clark so far as it relates to property which we owned jointly.

If at my death there should be any amount due me by note or account by Dr. W. F. Barr it is my will that our accounts and notes should balance so that he shall pay nothing upon them, but if I owe him it is to be paid. This I will in consideration of his kindness to me and mine.

It is my desire that my friend Dr. Wm F. Barr act as my administrator [can’t read rest without magnifier]

Having in my will devised a portion of my property to my sister Ann Glenn and her children, I now wish to declare that none of my property either real or personal is to be given them after my death but that it is to be equally divided with the others mentioned in my will
