I William Ryburn of Washington Co., state of Virginia….

- to beloved wife Mary Ryburn all profits arising from plantation during her life. Also to have the free and entire use of my dwelling house and kitchen with all the household and kitchen furniture. Also the sorrel mare, the bay mare and her young colt and her choice of 3 of my best cows. Also “I will to her all her wearing apparel All which personal property I will to her own use and behoof forever”.

- debts and funeral charges be paid from rest of property

- to daughter Sarah Buchanan $10.00 to be paid in 2 years after my decease

- to son John Ryburn $100 to be paid out of estate after the decease of wife

- to daughter Mary Buckhannan $10.00 to be paid in 2 years after my decease

- to two sons, Patrick and James Ryburn my plantation at the decease of wife. Also to equally divide the remainder of my property after my decease, except my rifle, gun shot bag, & powder horn which I will to son James. Also to Patrick and James a large Bible, Franklins Geography, the Young Man’s Companion and Cockers “Arithmatick” to be divided as they may agree.

- to daughter Jenny Ryburn a horse worth $60.00 and the saddle and bridle that is called hers, a cow, a bed and furniture to be paid in two years after my decease.

- to daughter Ann Ryburn a horse, saddle and bridle, a cow, bed and furniture of as good a quality as I have left to my daughter Jenny to be paid to her when she becomes eighteen years of age.

- two little daughters, Peggy and Patsy Ryburn to have 6 months schooling, also a bed and furniture, a horse, saddle and bridle and a cow, to be given them at 18 years of age (states they are youngest daughters)
