William Edmiston of Washington Co., Virginia

- beloved wife Agness 1 sorrel mare, 1/3 of all cattle in Washington Co., sheeps and hogs and household furniture and ¼ of all by books, the second vol. of Flavels works excepted; also improvements on plantation during her life, all farming untinsels to be left for the use of my wife and sons James and Samuel

- son William one bond of 50 pounds on James Curtis

- to my son John one bond of 50 pounds on said Curtis; also 1 bay horse; stallion to be equally divided between him and my son James

- sons James and Samuel my plantation at my wife’s death to be equally divided between them; if either of them should die before my wife the other is to heir the land upon paying ten pounds to my son John

- son James one brown horse

- son Samuel one black mare

- remaining 2 parts of my personal property to be equally divided between sons James and Samuel and my dau Margaret

- dau Margaret 1 black colt

- sons James and Samuel each to pay 10 pounds to purchase a horse and saddle and school my son Robert’s dau Agnes if she liveth with her grandmother til she is of age

- bequeath to son Thomas the 2nd Vol. of Flavel’s works and the remaining three parts of my books to be equally divided between my sons John, James and Samuel, also my cattle upon Cumberland after my son Robert is satisfied himself for his trouble taking care of them to be equally divided between my sons John and James except one cow to my son William.
