Decree

This cause come on the [not filled in] day of October in the year of our Lord 1821 to be heard upon the Bill, Answer of Defendants, exhibits filed and the examination of witnesses – and was argued by counsel ______ in this cause for ______ assigned _____ _____ opinion filed ____ _____. Whereupon the Court being of opinion that the slave Delilah in the Bill mentioned was the absolute property of Mary Beaty the widow of David Beaty dec’d at the time of making her will ____ _____ the papers in this cause and that the said slave passed by the residuary clause in said will to the children William Beaty, the complt James and the Defendants David Beaty & John Clark and Mary his wife, and would have directed an account to be taken between the parties, but the plaintiffs counsel _____ court, declining the taking of an account and it being admitted by the counsel for both parties that an account was not wished by either of them ____; It is ordered ___ & decreed that the plaintiffs Bill be dismissed and that he pay to the defendants their costs expended in their defense of this suit
