William M. Edmondson of Washington County, Virginia

1. all just debts to be paid

2. to beloved wife Martha Edmondson during her life the use of my farm and all household & kitchen furniture, 1 horse and 1 cow, and all farming tools

3. at death of wife farm to be divided:
- son John W. Edmondson 43 acres adjoing his farm
- son Henry H. Edmondson 103 acres incl my home buildings
- son-in-law William Snodgrass 84 acres on the lower end of the place; the line to commence at a mulberry on the south side of Cedar Creek

- these 3 heirs to raise a fund of $2,000 (John W.: $154; Henry H.: $1,068; William Snodgrass: $778) which is to be equally divided between my 4 daughters:

- Rebecca J. McCall
- Elizabeth S. Hutton
- Martha Ann Davenport
- Amanda A. Scott

- also one bed each to Rebecca, Elizabeth and Amanda
