- to wife Louisa all my real and personal property during her natural life or widowhood or until children come of age. Should Lousia die before that time or remarry, executor is to sell all perishable property and divide proceeds with children – Louisa to receive one third.

- colored woman to be hired out by executor if she is not kind to wife

- if wife marries before children are of age then executor to proceed as though no will existed with wife to receive one third of estate

- wife to single out such stock as can be spared and executor to sell; proceeds used to finish kitchen, barn, repair fence, and finish ___[foundation?] of the dwelling house

- wish wife and children to live together and enjoy property until first one marries, then distribution to be made

- to son Andrew Buchanan large picture Bible and one third of real and personal estate

- daughter Sarah Jane plain family Bible and one third of real and personal estate
