Birth27 Mar 1893 Willie Benona Crenshaw was born on 27 Mar 1893 in Meadowview, Washington County, Virginia.1 
Childhood Willie grew up in the Saltville District of Washington County, Virginia. Willie's father died in early 1899 at which time she was about 5 years old. His death left Willie's mother, Mary, with 4 children still under her care. In 1900 she was enumerated with 14 year old "Vint", 12 year old Annie, 7 year old "Willie B." and 5 year old Edna. Willie's sister Anne died in 1904. In 1910 the census record clarified that Willie (enumerated as "Nona"), her mother, brother John V. ["Vint], and sister Edna were all living on Chestnut Ridge Road.3,4 
Marriage4 Jul 1911 She married Charles Wesley Carr Grubb on 4 Jul 1911 in Washington County, Virginia.5 
Cens-193030 Apr 1930  Willie and Charles farmed in the North Fork District of Washington County where they were eunerated in 1930 with 10 children, ranging in age from 17 year old Reba to 4 month old Benona.6 
  One additional son would be born in 1931. 
Death29 Jan 1987 Willie died on 29 Jan 1987 in Washington County, Virginia, at age 93.1 
Burial She was buried at Knollkreg Cemetery in Abingdon, Virginia.1
