Family letters written in 1910 indicate Jean was the custodian of William Buchanan's Bible. In 1928 Jean met with Rachel Goode Buchanan (1888-1960) who transcribed Jean's information. The women also had access to a sheet of data recorded from memory in 5 Jan. 1889 by Mathew Hay Buchanan.
