This same land was indicated as belonging to William Scott's heirs on an 1829 survey recorded for Thomas Montgomery (owner of a large neighboring parcel). William's land appears to have previously belonged to John McClelland. It sat on the south side of the Middle fork of the Holston River adjacent to lands owned by William Ryburn.6 |
