Cens-Sum  Josephine and Thomas lived along the Glade Spring-Saltville Rd. in Washington County. Thomas's brothers lived on neighborhing parcels. In 1887 the men's father noted in his will that he had already provided for his sons, suggesting he had allowed each of them a portion of the older man's large tract. Thomas and Josephine raised a family of 5 children, all of whom lived into adulthood.10,11,12 
Widowed9 May 1912  Josephine was widowed when Thomas died in May 1912.
