Birth5 Dec 1844 Sarah Frances Adelaid Ryburn, known as Addie, was born on 5 Dec 1844.1 
Marriage13 Jun 1866 She married David Campbell Carmack, son of Isaac Carmack and Jane Hamilton Campbell, on 13 Jun 1866 near Glade Spring Depot in Washington County, Virginia.3,4,5 
  They were second cousins. 
Cens-18703 Oct 1870 Four years after their marriage, in October 1870, "Addie" and David were recorded as a family unit with their two year old daughter Rosa. They were living in the same dwelling as her father and stepmother, William and Hattie Ryburn. Addie's brother, Whitley, and his wife Mary, were also living in the residence. David's occupation was listed as "Dps sheriff."6 
Cens-188026 Jun 1880 Ten years later, David and Addie were recorded in their own home in Washington County with their children, Rosalie, Harry, Carrie and Bertha. This census stated that David was a farmer.7 
Heir1886 Addie received a small share of her father's Locus Cove land when he died in 1891. She was also one of the heirs of her great uncles James, Mathew and Robert Buchanan. She inherited about $123 from their estate which was roughly equivalent to that received by each of her siblings.8,2 
Cens-19006 Jun 1900 By 1900 Addie had been widowed for fifteen years. The census taken that year recorded that she was the mother of seven children, two of whom were no longer living.9 
Death28 Apr 1905 Sarah died on 28 Apr 1905 at age 60.10 
Burial She was buried near her husband and daughter Janie at Old Glade Spring Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.10
