Cens-186016 Jul 1860 Following their marriage in 1859 Jacob and Sarah provided a home for his niece and nephew, Sarah Elizabeth McConnell and David Campbell McConnell.1 
Widowed2 Oct 1863  In the next 3 years Sarah and Jacob had a son and a daughter. But in the fall of 1863 Jacob died, leaving Sarah with two small children. 
Cens-18701 Aug 1870  She took the children and returned to Missouri where her parents were living in Monroe County.2
