Cens-19001900 In the first years of their marriage Benjamin and Frances (who seem to have gone by Ben and Fannie) lived with his father and mother in the Glade Spring district of Washington County.6 
Cens-1910Apr 1910 Ben's father died in 1905 but his mother continued to live with the couple. When the 1910 census was enumerated Fannie was asked how many children she had given birth to. She replied that she was the mother of 4 children, but that only 3 were living. Those 3 children were recorded with Ben and Fannie as: Mary Sue, age 12, Helen M., age 6, and Samuel J., age 2.7 
  Another son, Charles, was born the following summer. 
Death2 Jul 1960 Frances died on 2 Jul 1960 at age 86.4 
Burial She was buried in the Allison-Hutton square at Old Glade Spring Cemetery, Washington County, Virginia.4
