Birth26 Jun 1906 Lucy M. Susong was born on 26 Jun 1906 in Virginia.4 
Childhood  Lucy grew up in the Goodson District of Washington County, Virginia. She was the youngest of her parent's 5 children.2,5,1 
  Lucy's uncle, Arthur Henderson Byars inherited a large estate, known as Cave Springs, from his cousin Elizabeth (Byars) Hall. When Arthur died in 1936 he left the brick home to his sister Mary, who had never married. Lucy then lived with her Aunt Mary Byars for several years.6 
MarriageApr 1938 Lucy married Ernest Charles Clark, son of Benjamin Walter Clark and Lena Mary Copenhaver, in Apr 1938 in Washington County.7,6 
  Lucy and Ernest lived with Ernest's parents at their home on Rt. 11 south of Glade Spring. 
Death5 Oct 1981 Lucy died on 5 Oct 1981 at age 75.4 
Burial Lucy was buried in the Charles A. Clark square at Old Glade Spring Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.7
