Cens-1880Jun 1880  Nellie lived with her mother and siblings in Glade Spring in 1880.3 
Fath-Death  Her father had died in 1879. 
Marriage2 Oct 1895 She married James Kent Harrison, son of Rev. J.R. Harrison, on 2 Oct 1895 in Washington County.5,6 
  She was widowed 26 days later.  
Marriage21 Aug 1901 She married second William James Hutton, son of Samuel John Hutton and Martha Orr Ryburn, on 21 Aug 1901 in Washington County, Virginia.7 
  They were third cousins, once removed. 
Cens-Sum William and Nellie lived in the Glade Spring area of Washington County, where William worked as a salesman in a dry goods store and later as a mail carrier.8,9 
Children  William and Nellie did not have children.6 
WidowedMar 1924  William (or "Buck" as he was known), died in March of 1924 leaving Nellie a widow for the second time. 
Cens-19308 Apr 1930  She was recorded on the 1930 census, living on her own and working as a college chaperone.10 
Death30 Jul 1934 Nellie died on 30 Jul 1934 in Washington County, Virginia, at age 61.4 
Burial She was buried in the Allison-Keys square at Old Baptist Cemetery in Washington County.11
