Birth9 Nov 1857 Susan Rosannah Campbell was born on 9 Nov 1857 in Washington County, Virginia.2,3 
 Susan was the youngest child of James and Rosannah Campbell. 
Moth-Death  Susan was just over a year old when her mother died. She was raised by her stepmother, Josephine (Bondurant) Campbell, whom her father married in November of 1859 and with whom he would have two additional children. 
Cens-18701 Jul 1870  The 1870 census recorded the blended family living in the Goodson Township of Washington County, Virginia, where Susan's father farmed and Susan attended school.4 
Marriage9 Jan 1878 She married John Franklin Lowry, son of John Lowry and Rosanna Melissa McConnell, on 9 Jan 1878 in Washington County, Virginia.5 
Cens-188029 Jun 1880 Two and a half years after their marriage John and Susan were enumerated in the same area of the county where Susan had been raised. They were living with John's widowed father.6 
Cens-19001900 Twenty years later they were still living in the same area, but now they had a family of their own. Susan reported to the census taker that she had given birth to 11 children, but only 6 of those were living. They were recorded as: John C. (19), Rosanna M. (17), Elizabeth (15), Kate (13), Mary A. (4) and Susan R. (2).7 
  Two sons, David, born in 1890, and Robert, born in 1893, had died in 1898 and 1895 respectively. In addition, twin daughters had died at birth in 1879 and a son had died at birth in 1889.8 
  Also enumerated with the family in 1900 was a cousin, Sarah E. Campbell, who was a widow born in December, 1842.7 
Death28 Jul 1927 Susan died on 28 Jul 1927 at age 69.3 
Burial She was buried at Cleveland Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.3
