Cens-185021 Sep 1850 The official "census date" for the 1850 federal census was June 1st. Although it took the enumerators several months to canvas the county all family information was recorded as the household existed on June first. The census taker did not reach Ann's home until September 21st. Jeremiah had died on June 28th, but following the census rules he was recorded as though he were still the head of the household. Ann was also recorded, along with her two children, Ann, 3, and John, 1.5 
Burial He was buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.1
