Legatee12 Aug 1852 Mary's uncle, Francis Hutton, left her a slave by the name of Thomas when Francis died in 1852. Mary was not yet one year old.4 
Legatee31 Aug 1867  Some years later, in 1867, Mary received a counterpane and two "best table cloths" from Amanda Hutton, widow of her uncle Francis.5 
Education  Mary attended Stonewall Jackson Institute.6 
MarriageMar 1873 She married Joseph Davis Williams, son of William Wesley Williams and Mariah Elizabeth Hagy, on either the 7th, the 9th or the 11th of March, 1873 in Washington County, Virginia.7,8,9,10 
 She was 21 and he was 25. 
Death3 Jun 1879 Mary probably died on 3 Jun 1879 although her brother appears to have used a different year in a manuscript he wrote on the family.3,11,12 
Burial She was buried at Old Glade Spring Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.3
