Cens-19005 Jun 1900  In 1881 her father remarried and she was raised by her stepmother, Mary Horne Williams. Margaret was enumerated in their household, along with 4 half siblings in 1900. She was 22 years old and employed as a music teacher.4 
Cens-Sum  She continued to share a home with her father after her stepmother's death. By 1930 she was 51 years old and single.5,6 
Legatee1892 Margaret's grandfather, Dr. Arthur Hutton died in 1892. In his will he instructed that his surviving children were to pay Margaret, should she be alive three years after his death, the sum of $50 each.7 
Death13 Aug 1956 Margaret died on 13 Aug 1956 at age 78.8 
Burial She was buried in the Williams square at Old Baptist Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.8
