Birth9 Nov 1860 Virginia Lee Bedford was born on 9 Nov 1860 in Andrew County, Missouri.1 
Marriage She married James Buchanan Cole, son of James L. Cole and Elizabeth Patterson.1 
  In 1899 James and Virginia and their 5 children moved to Kirksville, (Adair County) Missouri, where James studied osteopathy at the American School of Osteopathy. The 1900 census recorded the family living at 716 Harrison St. in Kirksville. The entry for 44 year old James noted that he was "attending school."2 
  James and Virginia's eldest son, Redmond Selecman Cole, studied law and eventually served as a judge in Oklahoma. He was also an avid genealogist; his research and correspondence, much of it conducted during the early 1900s, is cited throughout this website. Death19 Aug 1926 Virginia died on 19 Aug 1926 in Columbia, Boone County, Missouri, at age 65.1
