Birth9 Feb 1766 Elizabeth McCall was born on 9 Feb 1766.2 
Marriage1787 She and Richard Montgomery were married by a Presbyterian preacher named Henderson in York County, Pennsylvania, in 1787.1,3 
Migration1795  Years later Richard's son Richard Jr. reported that his parents migrated from Pennsylvania to Washington County, Virginia in 1795. However Richard's sister Nancy, (born in 1789) stated that she was born in Virginia as did his brother Thomas (born in 1792).1,4,5  
Land-Buy22 Aug 1793  Furthermore in August 1793 Richard purchased 192 acres from Samuel Lowrey for 190 pounds. The land sat between the Middle and South forks of the Holston River.6 
  The parcel was resurveyed years later and found to actually include 270 acres.7 
WidowedFeb 1840  Elizabeth was widowed in the winter of 1840. 
Cens-185012 Sep 1850  Son Richard then assumed the role of head of the household. Elizabeth lived with Richard and his wife Elizabeth, as did Richard's two unmarried sisters, Jane and Mary.8 
  By the early 1850s Elizabeth's mind was fading. Richard was appointed her guardian in May 1853 in order to facilitate her application for a Revolutionary War pension based on Richard Sr.'s service 75 years earlier.9 
  Elizabeth's application was delayed for some months due to her inability to prove her marriage. Several affidavits were filed on her behalf, including one by John Larimer, who stated that his father owned the adjacent farm. The file includes a letter from the clerk of the York Co. (Pennsylvania) court stating that no marriage records existed for that time.10 
Death9 Apr 1855 Elizabeth died on 9 Apr 1855 at age 89.11,12 
Burial She was buried at Rock Spring Cemetery in Washington County.11
