Birth27 May 1864 Sarah Jane Larimer was born on 27 May 1864 in Washington County, Virginia.2 
Marriage18 Nov 1883 She married John David Neal on 18 Nov 1883 in Washington County.3 
Cens-19005 Jun 1900  Ten years after their marriage John and Sarah left Virginia and migrated west. They settled in Lucas County, Iowa, where they farmed land in Union township. Their first 3 children were born in Virginia; the last 3 in Iowa.4 
Cens-191018 Apr 1910  By 1910 they had left Iowa and moved to Wise County, Texas with the 3 youngest children.5 
Cens-19206 Jan 1920  However they did not settle permanently in Texas. In June 1920 they were enumerated back in Lucas Co., Iowa where they owned a home in the town of Derby. John was employed as a carpenter and Sarah's census entry stated that she was keeping a boarding house. None of the couple's children still lived at home but the household included the depot manager, and the lumberyard manager, both listed as boarders.6 
Death1949 Sarah died in 1949 in Lucas County, Iowa.7 
Burial She was buried at Derby Cemetery in Derby, Lucas County, Iowa.7
