Research Comment:

The Washington County birth records include an entry for a child Susan Jane Maiden, born Dec. 26, 1853. No other reference to this daughter Susan has been found. It is possible she was the same person as the daughter Lou J. whose birth has been reported as Feb. or Dec. 1853. No other Daniel and Rebecca Maiden couple were found in the county in 1860.10
