Cens-185019 Sep 1850  Mary was recorded on the 1850 census for Washington County, Virginia, in the household of her stepfather, Andrew Hawk.4 
Ward26 Aug 1850  Mary's father had died in 1849 and her mother remarried the following year. On August 26, 1850 Mary and her siblings were all appointed guardians by the Washington County court. Mary became the ward of Robert Larimer and Nathaniel McClure.5 
Court Record1871  In 1871 Nathaniel McClure filed his final settlement report as guardian. His records showed a payment to Mary of $12 in March, 1868. Then on July 18, 1870 she received $146.50 which was an amount equal to that received by her older siblings when they came of age. This entry includes the line: "M.E. Larimer who married Felix Widener."6 
Marriage25 Apr 1868 She married Felix Widener, son of Elias Widener and Mary Rosenbalm, on 25 Apr 1868 in Washington County, Virginia.7,8 
Death2 Nov 1876 Mary died on 2 Nov 1876.9
