  Ann's father died in the spring of 1849 and her mother Isabella married for a second time the following year. 
Cens-185019 Sep 1850  Shortly after the marriage Ann was recorded in her stepfather's home on the 1850 census for Washington County. Ann was 14 years old; her stepfather was 19.6 
Ward23 Sep 1850 The probate of her father's estate necessitated that Ann and her siblings be appointed guardians. Hence, Ann was named the ward of James Orr on 23 Sep 1850 in Washington County.7 
Moth-Death29 Apr 1852  Two years later Ann's mother also died. 
Marriage13 Mar 1854 She married Alfred W. Speer on 13 Mar 1854 in Washington County.3 
Death22 Aug 1879 Ann died of consumption on 22 Aug 1879 at age 43.4,8 
Burial She was buried at Rock Spring Cemetery in Washington County.4
