                                        Burnside, Ky.
                                        June 30, 1939
My dear Judge Cole:
I am glad to be of help – if indeed I have been.  The Cowan family is of interest to me, my brother married Elizabeth Cowan, she belonged to the same Cowan family Mrs. H.C. Kennedy does.
I am hoping you will find more and more of their family history.
The Mrs. Clark in Pawnee, Okla. coming from the New England Waits could easily be my husbands family – His Grandfather, Cyrenius Wait was the only one in Kentucky, I suppose.  He was born in Mass. and all his people lived there.

Is this Mrs. Clark Living?
Or would this Son, Wait Clark be able to tell me of his Mother’s people?  I would like to get in touch with them. I am enclosing a copy of the burials at Pisgah – You will please return it some time, no hurry.
We are hoping you will come to see us on your return from your Eastern trip, and, be sure you bring your charts for us to see.
                                        Sincerely,
                                            Mary S. Wait [sig]
                                           Mary S. Wait

(Mrs. Harry)
