Childhood Ruby spent the first years of her childhood in West Virginia where her father worked on the railroad. When she was about 5 her parents and several other relatives moved to Oklahoma City where over the years her father worked for the Frisco Railroad, farmed, and worked in the grocery business.2 
MarriageMar 1926 She married Robert Lawrence Gurry in Mar 1926 in Norman, Cleveland County, Oklahoma.3 
 The couple had 4 children. 
Death3 Apr 1995 Ruby died on 3 Apr 1995 in Midwest City, Oklahoma, at age 87.3
