Widowed8 May 1848  Robert died on 8 May 1848. 
Legatee  Robert's will left Elizabeth the use of specific lands and other items during her life in lieu of dower. He also left her 1/3 interest in certain slaves he obtained at their marriage. After Mary's death her interest in the slaves passed to Margaret Logan (wife of Joseph) and Mary Jane Reeves (wife of George Reeves). Her interest in Robert's land passed to his son Rufus.3 
Cens-185030 Jul 1850  Elizabeth appears to have lived by herself following Robert's death.2
