Deviseeafter Dec 1835  Ann's father, John Edmondson, left her a portion of the land he was living on when he wrote his will in Dec. 1835. It was to be laid off the north west corner of John's land beginning at a poplar corner to Joseph Snodgrass and was to include 100 poles square (the land would not become Ann's until the death of John's wife, Martha). John also left Ann a Negro boy Frederick. At Ann's death Frederick was to become the property of Ann's son John Snodgrass.2
Land-Buy5 Jan 1841  On Jan. 5, 1841 Martha Edmondson [Ann's mother] sold her son-in-law Joseph Snodgrass 6 1/2 acres of land in Washington County for $1 and for love and affection. The land was located between the Middle and South forks of the Holston River.5
