Cens-Sum  William and Nancy made their home in the Glade Spring district of Washington County. They appear to have either lived with William's parents or they with them. William and Nancy also shared their home with William's brother James who helped run the family farm. The couple were the parents of 9 children.9,10,7 
Exec-Devisee  William's father died in 1886. His will named William as executor. Robert's land was to be divided between William and his brother James. However, if James did not marry, his share of the land would go to William's eldest sons Robert and Joseph. The will also expressed Robert's wish that William and James provide for their mother Catherine.2 
Death23 Aug 1909 William died on 23 Aug 1909 at age 79.6 
Burial He was buried at Old Glade Spring Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.6
