It appears Moses may have been in the process of expanding or rebuilding parts of his farm, as he specified funds to finish the barn, kitchen and other projects. John Kelly was appointed executor.3 |

However, following the census guidelines, the enumerator, when he reached Louisa's home in early September, recorded the household as it stood on June 1st. Therefore Moses was recorded at age 42, along with Lousia and two children: 12 year old Andrew and 10 year old Sarah. Andrew Kelly [Louisa's father] was also part of the household.4 |
