Birth22 Aug 1805 Moses Carson Orr was born on 22 Aug 1805 in Washington County, Virginia.2 
Guardian25 Jan 1847  Moses served as guardian to his deceased sister Polly Smyth's children from Jan 25, 1847 until his death.3  
WillDec 1848 Moses wrote his will in December 1848, shortly before his death. He left his estate, both real and personal, to be divided amongst his brothers and sisters, including the heirs of those siblings who were deceased. In addition, he left specific legacies to his brother James, sister Patsy Lea, the sons of his deceased sister Jane Preston, the children of his deceased sister Elizabeth McSpadden, and various nieces and nephews, including Minerva, wife of Robert Henderson. Moses appointed his brother James Orr as his executor, along with Jacob Lynch.4 
Death19 Dec 1848 Moses died on 19 Dec 1848 in Washington County, Virginia, at age 43.5,6,7 
Burial He was buried at Old Glade Spring Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.5
