 The location of Mary's birth is not clear. The 1860 and 1870 census records state that she was born in Virginia, however the 1880 and 1900 records state that she was born in Illinois. 
Cens-Sum  Mary did not marry, but made her home with her family in the Glade Spring area of Washington County.3,7 
Legatee30 Jun 1906 Mary's cousin, Elizabeth Byars Hall, willed Mary Jane $250, a picture of Elizabeth's mother, a set of jewelry, and one sixth of any household furnishings and personal property not specifically left to others.1 
Death11 Oct 1909 Mary died on 11 Oct 1909 at age 58.4,2 
Burial She was buried at Old Glade Spring Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.4 
Will-Recd25 Oct 1909 Mary's own will, dated September 10th, 1903 left her property, both real and personal to her brother Earl B. Clark. The will was recorded in Washington County court on October 25th, 1909.8
