Marriage27 Nov 1865 She married Charles H. Hickok, son of Morris Hickok, on 27 Nov 1865 in Washington County, Virginia.1 
  Charles was in his early 40s; Martha was about 30. 
Cens-18808 Jun 1880  In 1880 Charles and Martha's household included 5 children of their own as well as 19 year old Fannie Hickok, Charles's youngest child from his first marriage. Although other carpenters no longer lived with the family, Charles was still employed building houses.3 
WidowedJan 1897  Charles died in Jan. 1897. 
Cens-19004 Jun 1900  At the turn of the century Martha was enumerated living in the Abingdon district of Washington County with her 24 year old son Charles Jr. Martha's census entry indicated that she was the mother of 5 children, 3 of whom were living.4 
Death29 Jan 1904 Martha died on 29 Jan 1904 at age 69.2 
Burial She was buried at Hickok Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.2
