The Washington County death register lists her date of birth as 22 Mar 1871 which is consistent with Nancy's reported age on census records created in 1900 and later. However the 1880 census recorded her at age 12 and it is likely she was the 1 year old enumerated as Ann [a name often used interchangeably with Nancy] in 1870.2,1
