Marriage4 Oct 1848 Nancy married William J. Galliher, son of Joel Galliher and Nancy Jones, on 4 Oct 1848 in Washington County, Virginia.2,5 
4 Oct 1848 She was 15 and he was 28. Nancy Margaret's brother William kept a family record in which he recorded his siblings birth and marriages. He did not record Nancy's date of birth but noted that "Margaret married in 1848, quite young."6 
Cens-Sum  Nancy and William farmed land in Washington County where they also raised a family of at least 8 children. On the eve of the Civil War their farm was valued at $1,700 and they owned personal property worth $500.7,8 
Widowed23 Aug 1892  William died in August 1892. 
Marriage4 Apr 1898 Nancy married Charles M. Bywater on 4 Apr 1898 in Columbia City, King County, Washington.4 
Cens-190010 Jun 1900  They were enumerated two years later farming land in Jefferson County, Washington. Charles was 59; "Nannie" was 69.9 
  The marriage apparently did not last as Charles was enumerated with a wife Susan, (age 49, b. Pennsylvania), in Jefferson County in 1910. They had been married 6 years. 
Death30 Nov 1917 Nancy died on 30 Nov 1917 at age 84.1,10 
Burial She was buried at Old Glade Spring Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.1
