Birth10 Aug 1839 Robert Jefferson Caldwell was born on 10 Aug 1839 in Virginia.1 
Marriage He married Solvey Zenna Catron, daughter of Thomas Jefferson Catron and Nancy Emeline Rhea.3 
Cens-Sum  Robert and Solvey farmed land in the Glade Spring District of Washington County, Virginia. There they raised 4 children and also provided a home for Solvey's widowed mother. Solvey's brother James lived with the couple in the late 1800s.4,5,6 
Religion Robert was a charter member and one of the first Deacons of Bethel Presbyterian Church. He signed the June 10th, 1881 petition asking that the congregation be organized as a church separate from Rock Spring Church (under whose leadership it had functioned for many years).7 
Death1 Sep 1914 Robert died on 1 Sep 1914 at age 75.1 
Burial He was buried at Rock Spring Cemetery in Washington County.1
