Birth13 May 1841 Sarah Jane Larimer was born on 13 May 1841.3 
  Sarah's father died in 1849 and her mother remarried the following spring. 
Cens-185019 Sep 1850  Sarah Jane and her siblings appear on the 1850 Washington County, Virginia census in the household of their 19 year old stepfather.4 
Ward26 Aug 1850  That same summer Sarah (recorded as Sally) and 5 of her siblings became the wards of Robert Larimer and Nathaniel McClure.5 
Court Record21 May 1863  In 1871 Nathaniel filed an account of his guardianship. His report showed a payment of $164.21 to Sarah on 21 May 1863. This appears to be the final distribution report of the funds Nathaniel would have been charged to manage for Robert Larimer's children.1 
  Sarah did not marry.6

Robert Larimer and Nathaniel McClure named guardians of Robert, John, Sally, Dorcas, Phoebe and Mary Larimer, infant children of Andrew Larimer, deceased. The guardians posted a bond in the amount of $800 with James Edmondson and James E. Kelly their surety.
