Cens-1880 | 23 Jun 1880 | Ten years later they were living in Union township, Rush County, Indiana, where 40 year old Hiram was breying walnut logs. The family now included 3 children: Fay J. [Jessamine], age 11, Pearl E., age 9 and Ryburn, age 3.6 |
Cens-1900 | 4 Jun 1900 | The family situation changed significantly between 1880 and 1900. By the turn of the century Sarah and Hiram had moved to Indianapolis, Sarah had given birth to an additional child, and 3 of the couple's 4 children had died. Only 31 year old Fay survived.2 |
