High On A Windy Hill lists William Byars Cobbs stone under cemetery #217 which it identifies as an old "Negro" Cemetery. However, there are actually two cemeteries a short distance apart: Fairview Baptist and Cobbs Cemetery. Charles Barnette photographed both cemeteries in 2011 including the additional markers identified at Cobbs Cemetery.

Besides the large William Byars Cobbs monument, the cemetery includes several small stones, marked only by intitials. The intent may have been to inscribe the full names on the William Cobbs monument. Because there are no full names or dates, the identification of the stones as listed below must be considered tentative.![]() |
