  A few years later David's sister Catherine married Mary's brother James.  
Children  David and Mary had children: Charles James Ritchie, Mary Gladys (Ritchie) Brown, Eva Davis (Ritchie) Painter, and David Greenway Ritchie, Jr.5 
Cens-191022 Apr 1910  The 1910 census recorded the couple with children Charlie, Gladys and Eva. The family lived north of the railroad tracks at Meadowview where David was employed as a hardware salesman.6 
Death17 Mar 1944 David died on 17 Mar 1944 at age 70.1 
Burial He was buried at Emory Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.7
